    Last year, I took a vacation in the USA with my family. On the way back to my hotel room one day, a lady rushed up to me and asked me        I knew first aid (急救). I said, "Yes.     Cancer (癌症) is a terrible threat to our health. It's really a serious disease. Both adults and children may get cancer. A cancer centre treats many patients each year. As more people need cancer treatment, doctors are trying to find new ways to treat the disease. They also want to help cancer patients learn more about it.

    A cancer centre in Davis is planning to expand (扩大). The centre wants to do more research and offer treatment to more patients. It also wants to set up a special hospital. This special hospital is for children with cancer. More space is needed. More money is needed too.

    A woman lost her son with cancer. Her son was found to have cancer at the age of five, and died two years later. She wants to do something to help other children with cancer. She wants more research to be done so that cancer can be cured. One thing she can do is to donate (捐赠) some money to the cancer centre. She has donated a lot of money to help treat children with cancer.
