Communicating with negative people can wash out your happiness. It may not change what you think, but communicating long enough with them will make you feel depressed for a moment or a long time.
Life brings ups and downs, but some people are stuck in the wrong idea that life has no happiness to offer. They only feel glad when they make others feel bad. No wonder they can hardly win others' pity or respect.
When you communicate with positive people, your spirit stays high and therefore more positive things are attracted. When the dagger (匕首) of a negative person is put into you, you will always feel down.
Sometimes we have no choice but to communicate with negative people. It could be a co-worker or a relative. In this case,say what needs to be said as little as possible. Sometimes letting out your anger back to the negative person may make you feel good, but this will lower you to that same negative level and they won't feel ashamed of themselves about that.
Negativity often affects happiness without even being realized. The negative words of another person at the start of a day can cling to (附着) you throughout the rest of your day, which makes you feel bad and steals your happiness. Life is too short to feel negative. Stay positive and avoid negativity as much as possible.
I was born and raised in Chicago. I am one of thirteen children who were raised by a single mom after my father passed away. As a child, I used sports and studying as the way to struggle against the dangers and temptations (诱惑) of urban life. I left home at an early age to attend school at Lake Forest Academy and then attended college.
Being away from home was difficult. Growing up on the streets was lonely and hurtful. I was able to enjoy being around different, educated people and learned a great deal about life from them.
The reason I wrote Emotional Core Therapy is that I have seen too much needless suffering and wanted to do something about it. Writing a book was the best way that I can let the world know that feelings of anxiety, depression, and anger are treatable. Many humans have suffered because they were not taught how to properly love themselves. My book works from the reader's perspective and world view.
My book uses five easy steps to treat emotional issues and emphasizes the root cause of emotional or psychic problems. My book teaches people how to identify (鉴别) and release those feelings.
The book will benefit anyone as long as they put in the time and effort to change their relationships. Feelings of fear and sadness are going to enter our lives, whether we like them or not. Why not be prepared? I use rain, thunderstorms, and hurricanes to describe spiritual pain. We can never really know when bad weather hits. Why not carry an umbrella? Why not know where the nearest shelter is located?
I don't think I can recall a time when I wasn't aware of the beauty of the ocean. Growing up in Australia, I had the good fortune of having the sea at my side. The first time I went to Halfmoon Bay, I suddenly had the feeling of not being able to feel the ground with my feet any more.
For my 10th birthday, my sister and I were taken out to the Great Barrier Reef. There were fish in different colors, caves and layers of coral. They made such an impression on me. When I learned that only 1 percent of Australia's Coral Sea was protected, I was shocked. Australian marine (海洋的) life is particularly important because the reefs have more marine species than any other country on earth. But sadly, only 45% of the world's reefs are considered healthy.
This statistic is depressing, so it's important for us to do everything to protect them. The hope that the Coral Sea remains a complete ecosystem has led me to take action. I've become involved with the Protect Our Coral Sea activity, which aims to create the largest marine park in the world. It would serve as a place where the ocean's species will all have a safe place forever.
Together, Angus and I created a little video and we hope it will inspire people to be part of the movement. Angus also shares many beautiful childhood memories of the ocean as a young boy, who grew up sailing, admiring the beauty of the ocean, and trying to find the secrets of ocean species.
