Once there was a fairy (仙女) on an island. She was the strongest and cleverest among all fairies. However, she was very ugly. On the island, every fairy thought beauty was the most important thing for a fairy, so the ugly fairy had no friends. Every time she was sent to save someone in trouble, before she could say a word, the person would shout loudly, "Ugly! Get out of here, right now!"
She once wanted to use her magic to become beautiful, but she remembered what her mother told her, "My dear, you are what you are, and never change your look unless you are in danger."
One day, some witches(巫婆) from another island attacked the island—the ugly fairy's home. All the fairies were sent to prison. The ugly fairy changed herself into a witch just before she was caught. Then she followed the witches back to their island and held a party for them. While the witches were having fun at the party, she went to free all the fairies. When all the fairies were free, they worked together to fight against the witches and put them in prison.
All the fairies realized that beauty was not the most important thing. After that, they didn't laugh at the ugly fairy any more.
The Milu deer is a kind of animal with large horns (角). They used to be common in China a long time ago. They lived together and ate grass and the soft parts of trees. In the past, people did not protect the Milu deer but killed them for food or sport, so they disappeared from China.
Fortunately, before all of them disappeared, the Duke of Bedford (贝德福特公爵) took some to Britain. The Milu deer liked the cool, wet weather in England and their number increased year by year. When in 1985 the government of China wanted to bring back the Milu deer, the Duke of Bedford could help. The first deer came back to China to the Nanhaizi Milu Park near Beijing and to Dafeng, Jiangsu Province.
Since they returned to China, their number has grown quickly. There are now so many of them that a new park has been opened for them in Hubei Province. Now the Milu deer live in the wildlife parks and have good protection. We hope that one day they can live in the wild again.

(3)The Albert Bridge is a road bridge over the River Thames in West London. It connects Chelsea on the north bank to Battersea on the south bank. Designed by Rowland Mason Ordish, people began to build this bridge on 23 August, 1873. Later the bridge was dangerous. Between 1884 and 1887, some people changed it. In 1973, people changed it again. Today the bridge is a hybrid (混合的) of three different styles.
Built as a toll bridge (收费大桥), it was unsuccessful. People paid when they used the bridge. People didn't like it. From 1879 people didn't pay.
One hundred years ago, people started to use cars on the bridge. The bridge's condition got worse as the result of traffic. The bridge wasn't very strong. People wanted it only for walking. But the bridge was open to cars. Of course, there were some limits for cars. Now many cars don't use this bridge.
The Albert bridge is one of the prettiest bridges in London. The bridge has a name "The Trembling Lady". It can shake when a lot of people walk on it.
