    Young people are often unhappy when they are with their parents. They say that their parents don't understand them. They often think their parents are too strict  1them.     I love to write! Ever since I was a five-year-old girl, I wrote stories in my notebooks and on small pieces of paper. I told stories to my friends. As a grown-up, I have written over 100 books! That's a lot! As a teacher, it's my goal to encourage all of my students to love to write.

    Writing is easy if you're careful enough, I told them. Everyone I meet is a possible character.

    Everything I see or do is a possible scene in a book. Start looking around you. You'll be amazed at what you discover.

    Anyone can be a writer. You just put your pencil on your paper and write what you like to read, step by step:

    ● Create great characters. If you know your characters well, they'll write the story for you.

    ● Interest the reader right at the beginning. You can start your stories with dialogue or action. If you can make the reader ask questions, then he has to keep reading to find out the answers.

    ● Follow the steps. The steps for every story are almost the same: Introduce the characters and the conflict(争端);things get worse; all seems lost; the hero saves the day!

    ● Balance is the key.

    Remember, when writing, it doesn't hurt to add some humor(幽默).

    Guess how polar bears （北极熊）clean themselves. They use snow, of course! Some animals take baths in dust instead of water! The wombat (毛鼻袋熊) is an Australian animal with lots of fur.        

    Birds clean themselves in many ways.         That's why some people put birdbaths(水盆）in their yard. Sometimes birds also use their beaks (喙) to keep their feathers clean.         Some birds even take "smoke baths". They sit on chimneys.(烟囱） They wave their wings in the smoke!

    Making friends is a skill. Before you make friends, you have to decide whom you want to be your friends. Most people like to have friends who like to do the same kind of things as they do. 交朋友最快的方式是微笑.

    When you smile, people think you are friendly to them and easy to talk to. It may not be easy to smile at first, but remember most people will stay away from an angry-looking face.To talk with others is a good way to make friends. One easy way to start a talk with someone is to say something nice about him. Think about how great you feel when someone says something nice to you. Doesn't it make you want to keep talking to that person?

    Ask your new friends some questions about themselves. Who are their favorite singers? Where do they live? 他们放学后做些什么？

    There are all good questions to start a talk. Make sure you have something to add to the talk，too.

     When someone asks you a question, you'd better have an answer for them . Remember that nothing will stop a talk more quickly than a shrug for an answer.
