You may be worrying about the environment and trying to change your lifestyle, for example, riding to school or taking a shopping bag and so on. But do you know we could have a real influence on the environment and climate change by eating less meat?
Studies have shown that keeping animals for humans produces lots of greenhouse gases(温室气体). It's even more than all of the carbon dioxide produced by boats, planes and trains in total around the world. Beef is worse for the environment than the other meats. However, in some countries, beef is the most-loved meat. By 2050, there will have been three billion meat-eaters. That means more resources will be needed like land, water and food.
On the other hand, it would be too difficult for meat lovers to completely give up meat. They could at first consider chicken and fish instead of red meat, such as beef, mutton and pork. This is because products of chicken and fish have a much less influence on the environment. What's more, eating more fish is good for their brain. For example, you can eat meat on only one day of the week. Some believe that it is a healthier lifestyle while some hope to protect the environment. Now it's time to think of a good way to both keep fit and help the environment.
A. Here are two steps they can follow. B. Because lots of trees are cut down for more land for cows. C. People stop eating meat for different reasons. D. And they don't want to keep away from meat. E. Then try to cut down the times of eating meat. F. In fact, trying to eat-less meat can do much to save our planet. |
